Our First Day!

Saturday, September 9 2017

Once we woke up, no alarms since our tour did not start till Monday morning, and this was Saturday!

The view of the pool from our room

We could not see any sky scrapers from our room.

First breakfast in India. Watermelon juice and dipping sauces. The white thing, was a rice puff, the other things were crunchy.  The coffee was strong.  Our waitstaff was not so sure we knew what we were doing when we did not put sugar or milk or both  in our coffee.

The waiter brought this to the table. It is a Dosa,  Coconut, mint and tomato and a curry were the dipping sauces for it
The inside of the Dosa. It had potatoes and onions and spices. Mark really enjoyed it.  Every morning they brought one to the table for him!

There was a mall behind the hotel. We decided to check it out.

The Lladro store.  It was a beautiful place.  We only admired.

A pink elephant for  reasons we could not figure out.

We found a very expensive Sari shop and wasted their time by only looking.  We then found a fun little shop for dresses. They only had three in my size and I bought two. (pictures of them coming later on)  Biba, the shop I bought the dresses at, had five people working in a very small shop. Two men working the register, and three ladies assisting customers.
We also found an ATM and realized we could only take out 10,000 Rupees. which is about 150 dollars at one time.

On the lower floor of the mall, next to the parking garage, there was a small market.  We bought some snacks, foxes hard candy, spiced pistachios and waters.   We thought we would be low on water, but everyone provided as much bottled water as we wanted at no charge.

Enjoying the sunshine before we got in the pool.

The pool decoration. Only one dolphin was spitting water.  But it was September and the tourist season had not yet really started.

We enjoyed the pool, and then a nap.

This vacation thing is pretty good.
